Biography

Dr. Tsvetkov completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from McMaster University in 2006.  He subsequently earned his medical degree from Queen’s University in 2010.  He obtained residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Toronto in 2015.

 

Dr. Tsvetkov went on to complete fellowship training in Foot & Ankle surgery and a second fellowship in lower limb reconstruction and arthroplasty.  Dr Tsvetkov joined Michael Garron Hospital in 2017.  His primary focus is on hip and knee replacement and foot and ankle reconstructive surgery.

Since joining Michael Garron Hospital in 2017, Dr. Tsvetkov introduced Direct Anterior hip replacement surgery.  This muscle-sparing approach allows patients to reduce post-operative pain and recover faster.

Moreover, he continues to offer care to patients with disorders of foot and ankle, including athletic injuries, arthritis and deformities. 

​

Currently, he also provides medical education to residents, fellows and medical students as an affiliated lecturer at the University of Toronto.
